New year, new MCAT Goals, but it's not really a fresh start,
Is it?
You still feel guilty about what you didn’t accomplish in 2023, and the guilt is just waiting for you to get off track!
New Year resolutions don’t last very long,
And with new failure come all the old feelings of guilt, shame and unworthiness.
You have a big dream,
You want to be a doctor.
If you’re ready to make 2024 your year,
But you’re worried that between work, school and family responsibilities,
You may fall back into your old patterns, and lose motivation once again.
Then keep reading, because it’s not you!
You KNOW you need something DIFFERENT
To break out of that motivation / overwhelm / give up / start over cycle,
But what?
How do you ensure that THIS TIME you actually see things through?
And finally get accepted to medical school?
Here’s how:
Starting January 6th: MCAT Prep Labs
Let’s jumpstart your new year MCAT goals TOGETHER. 6 weeks of interactive MCAT Prep Labs where you, your fellow premeds (and me, Leah) will meet 1-2 times per week to learn, plan, strategize, evaluate, (commiserate) and troubleshoot, and get you onto a solid track with your 2024 MCAT goals.
The MCAT Prep Labs 🧪 (offered exclusively to MCAT Study Hall Members) will help you:
✔️ Break the on-again-off-again study cycle
✔️ Ensure you are on track with your goals
✔️ Apply your knowledge to those pesky passages
✔️ Raise your overall MCAT score
“When [Leah] suggests I do something, she always says we will try it out and reevaluate which makes me feel good because I know she isn’t just saying “hey do this because I said so” it’s more of “let’s try this out, what do YOU think?” And then I give my input so she never really forces anything.” –Aracely, Current MCAT Study Hall Member

What’s Included with the Self Study Level of the MCAT Study Hall?
-
-
- Orientation + Strategy Bootcamp- Don’t get lost, start with a quick tour of the Study Hall and step-by-step process to set up your MCAT Study Plan.
- Progress Tracker- Forget complex spreadsheets and endless math, I have it all ready for you to track (and auto calculate). From tracking progress, your schedule and calendar, weekly goals, FL scores, target improvements and more.
- Content Video Library- ditch your boring books for full color video explanations of every single MCAT science except P/S which I currently don’t teach (Physics, Gen Chem, Orgo, Biochem, Bio). Following the AAMC outline, I teach the MCAT sciences in a logical way using examples to ensure you understand the content well enough to apply it to the pesky passages.
- Foundations In MCAT Math Bootcamp- More than just mental math, this is the ‘how to do this quickly under pressure without a calculator' type math.
- Support and Community- Premed, especially the non-trad route can be very lonely. Not anymore with the members-only Facebook group.
- Weekly Live Office Hours- Weekly office hours will resume after the MCAT Prep Labs to ensure you continue to progress, stay on track, troubleshoot, get answers to your questions and continue working towards your goals.
- BONUS: MCAT Prep Labs- Brand new 6-week live session series to help you get a jumpstart on the New Year.
-
The MCAT Study Hall itself already has everything you need to make 2024 the year you ace your MCAT.
But, to help you get a proper jumpstart on the new year, I’m offering a never-before brand new 6-week MCAT Prep Labs.
The MCAT Prep Labs will run through mid-February and cover the following:
1- Introductory Meetup
See the faces behind the names, these are the premeds you’ll be working alongside on this difficult journey. Let’s share our goals and dreams, our success and failures, let’s plan how we’re going to ace the MCAT together.
2- Numbers, Data, and More Numbers
There’s planning, there’s hoping, and then there’s data! And you know I’m all about the data so let’s work together to figure out the DATA behind what it’ll actually take for YOU to become the doctor you’ve always dreamed of.
What are your required numbers and what’s it going to take?
3- Mental Math
The MCAT is NOT a math test, but you can’t use a calculator. Exactly HOW should you approach preparing for non-calculator math, how much time to study, what to focus on and more.
4- Study Schedule
Generic schedules & study plans don’t take YOU into account. This session will go beyond figuring out your availability and packing it with MCAT homework.
Instead we’ll work on a schedule that takes YOU into consideration, a schedule that leaves you feeling motivated rather than burned out, excited to study because you KNOW it actually works FOR you.
5- Critical Reading
The MCAT is not a content exam. From science passages to the CARS section, you want to start on your critical reading skills right away. Learn how to read quickly and efficiently, knowing what to focus on and where to move faster, learn how to pick up the main ideas and critical information without getting hung up (and slowed down) by the distracting details.
6- Your Study Blocks
Knowing WHEN you’ll study (schedule) is the first step, learning HOW to maximize your study time is critical to ensure you’re focusing on what you need without wasting time trying to do it all. We’ll look at how to balance review with new material, books and videos, NOT getting bogged down with notes, incorporating flashcards and active writing, all while ensuring you don’t risk forgetting what you’ve already studied.
7- How To Study Every Subject
Once you know WHAT to do in every study block, let’s talk about HOW to study for each of the required MCAT topics. The way you approach physics is very different from biology, which is very different from psych/soc or CARS, and in this session you’ll learn how to figure out YOUR best approach for each including learning new material, memorization, review and practice.
8- Bonus Kinematics
This will be a Free (non-member) YouTube livestream open to all, perfectly timed with your MCAT Prep Labs as a proxy for HOW to tackle equation-heavy MCAT science. We’ll strategize how to learn and memorize equations without neglecting the science concepts behind it, we’ll work on practice and learn a few tricks to help you format a plan for tackling similarly difficult topics.
9- Progress Evaluation
At this point you’ve been following a new plan, evaluating your new schedule and testing a new schedule and study block format. Don’t just assume that ‘this is how it should be’.
Instead, let’s evaluate what you’ve been doing. What is and isn’t working so far, how do we pivot for what’s not fully working, how can you identify what IS working and make it even better?
10- Evaluation Meetup
I’d love to imagine that you will be perfectly on track by this point, with over a month into the MCAT prep labs. But let’s be realistic, life will happen and despite the amazing progress, you’re probably going to feel like you should have done more, could have done better.
This informal meetup will be a chance to realize that NO, you’re not alone and help you take the pressure off when you realize that other students are going through similar experiences.
Bonus: Troubleshooting Session
We’ll close out the MCAT prep labs with the most important session of them all: Troubleshooting.
Because nothing ever goes exactly as planned, and if you continue trying to force a square peg into a round hole, you WILL burn out.
In this session we will troubleshoot any changes or hiccups you’re experiencing along the way to ensure you know where and how to pivot, readjust, and continue making progress.
Weekly office hours will pick up from here, so that we continue to evaluate and troubleshoot all the way to test day.
What if you can’t make all the live sessions?
I realize that no matter when these are scheduled, someone will have a schedule conflict. That’s why every MCAT Prep Lab and subsequent office hours session will be recorded and added to the video library.
This means you can submit your questions (schedule, goals, numbers, troubleshooting, etc) in advance for me to review/discuss them, so that you can listen when it works for your schedule.

Study Hall FAQ:
I'm worried about spending money right now, especially after how much I've already paid for MCAT prep
As your MCAT coach it’s my job to challenge you, so rather than answer this question outright, I want to ask you: is going another year without getting into medical school worth the cost? Is it worth the mental energy it costs to get started (again) only to lose motivation in a week or 2 (again)? Is it worth the emotional toll this lonely journey can take? Is it worth the cost of AAMC rescheduling fees? If you’re taking time off work, is it worth the cost of the lost income if you remain stuck?
The regular Study Hall has everything you need to achieve your MCAT goals THIS YEAR, and the bonus MCAT Prep Labs (starting SATURDAY!) are being added to supercharge your studies and help you resolution proof your goals, so that you can finally get that white coat and get closer to being Dr. [First Name].
I understand that not everyone has the resources to seek extra help which is why a FULL MONTH of the Study Hall costs what I charge for one hour of MCAT tutoring.
On top of that, I know that this year, it is even harder to stretch a dollar, which is why I am offering an insane 40% off discount through Thursday night. If you’ve been waiting for the price to drop, Now is your chance!
I won’t be offering something like this again all year.
Question: What's the difference between the Comprehensive and Self Study Level Study Hall Programs?
The Study Hall included with the Comprehensive and Self Study Level programs are EXACTLY THE SAME. The only difference is the level of hands-on support at each level. In addition to everything listed above for the Self Study level, Comprehensive members also get one-on-one guidance and support through direct messaging, tracker help and one-on-one sessions.
While I am still there for you in live Office Hours, MCAT Prep Labs, and the Facebook group, my daily involvement is lower than the hands-on program which is how I am able to make this a budget friendly yet still exactly what you need program.
Although the Self Study level does NOT include 1-on-1 strategy, members can purchase an add-on session for just $199 as needed.
Question: Do I still get access to everything in the Study Hall as a Self Study member?
Yes! The core Study Hall program is exactly the same. The Self Study program is simply less hands-on. Same guidance, same strategy, same advice, same access to weekly live sessions.
Question: What if I can't make the live Office Hours and/or MCAT Prep Lab sessions?
No problem! If you can't make the session live, you will still have the opportunity to submit your question ahead of time. I will still answer your question even if you can't make it to the session, and all sessions are recorded and then added to the Study Hall video library.
Question: How come the Study Hall doesn’t include anything about Psychology and Sociology?
I firmly believe you should only learn from someone who’s a master at their craft — and I haven’t mastered these topics yet. Independently, I study and practice these topics so I can still help out and answer questions, but I’m not yet willing to call myself an expert. Once I feel that I can teach with 100% confidence, I will add these topics to the Study Hall.
Question: I haven’t taken XYZ subject. Will this program still help me? (The most common subjects not taken: Orgo 2 and Biochem.)
This depends on how close you are to your MCAT date. I’ve worked with quite a few students who take an MCAT subject class after their MCAT. That’s okay, but this means you’ll have to put in twice the effort to learn the material on your own.
The good news is that even students who have taken the class tend to forget some or all of the material. Each of the science bootcamps is taught from a beginner's perspective to ensure that if you ever missed something in your classes, or never took the classes, you still get the proper MCAT foundation in this subject.
Question: Have you taken the MCAT under the current scoring system?
I would if I could! Tutors and those affiliated with MCAT prep aren’t allowed to take the test — only people who actually intend to go to medical school are permitted. (I signed up for the new exam, got reported and banned). For that reason, I’m not able to take the test. To overcome that, I’ve done everything in my power to ensure a full understanding of today’s MCAT testing environment.
Question: If I sign up for the MCAT Study Hall, can you guarantee that I’ll score my target score?
NO! No one should realistically make this type of guarantee. Every student is different, every situation is unique, and, no matter how much I provide, at the end of the day it comes down to you.
How hard are you willing to work in order to attain your target MCAT score? I’ll do my best by helping you craft a strategy, by pointing you to the correct Study Hall resources, and by being there for you to help guide and motivate and answer your questions in live Office Hours, your tracker, and Facebook group. But at the end of the day, it will be up to you to put in the work and utilize the resources available.
Question: Does your program come with practice tests and questions?
No, there are no passages and full lengths. As a small business, I don't have the resources to create practice exams that are close enough to the real thing to be worth your time. Instead, I focus my time/resources on teaching the material and ensuring that my students know how to prepare for this exam.
That being said, as a Study Hall member, I will guide you to the best resources (based on student feedback) and help you figure out when to use each one to make the most out of your resources.
Question: Am I locked into a contract or can I cancel anytime?
The 3 month study hall is offered at a bulk discount as an incentive to invest in your own success which is why I don’t offer refunds on ‘unused’ months. That being said, you may take a break and pause your membership if you need to. Just be sure to contact me to get your account paused first 😉
If you sign up for a monthly membership with me, you are able to keep it for as few or as many months as you like!
Question: Do you offer a free trial?
There are a few reasons why you might be asking this. While I don't offer a free trial, I understand you may have tried quite a few programs and so you may want to check this program out before committing to it. No worries, if after a few days you decide it's not for you, I'm offering a limited time, 1-week satisfaction guarantee: Try the MCAT Study Hall Self Study program out, and if it's not for you let me know within 1 week of your initial sign up date, and I'll refund your study hall cost minus a 4% transaction fee.
What Other Say About The MCAT Study Hall
“Leah’s MCAT Study Hall is a program that builds on core concepts needed for the MCAT from the ground up and really emphasizes the foundational concepts in a logical manner, which are important in understanding the more complex processes…. Leah’s MCAT program is tailored to work with everyone’s personal needs as she constantly supports you along this journey.” — Ruhani (former Comprehensive member)
“Like most people, when I think about the MCAT and the astronomical amounts of information you’re expected to know, I am overwhelmed by all the content I must learn and apply to test taking strategy and still be able to take the 7 hour marathon test…. You realize that you will likely never know everything and begin to think why bother knowing any of this at all. You also need to build taking strategy specific to the MCAT. These things all combine to create the scary “MCAT monster” that is a nightmare for the average pre-med…. When you juggle different things that you’re currently doing (full time employment for instance), it just makes it hard for you to see the best way to study for the MCAT. The strategy breaks that “monster” into smaller, manageable pieces. I had a hard time trying to make my schedule for everything else fit with my study schedule and with what to learn when. The strategy session just helped me to plan out everything and to master one topic at a time in my MCAT studying and still have time to attend to my normal activities during the week.” — Stephanie (former Comprehensive member)

“Hi Leah!! I just got out of my test and you’re one of the first people I wanted to tell and thank! I’m not sure how it went but what I do know is that your tutoring gave me the best shot I could have given!” — Katherina (former Comprehensive member)
“Leah’s MCAT Study Hall videos are unlike any other resource out there. I spent a year trying out every MCAT study resource I could find, but nothing or no one else clears concepts up as quickly and concisely as Leah does in her videos! I have always been the type of student to try to memorize as much as possible, but I’ve realized this is impossible for the amount of material the MCAT covers. Leah’s videos have enabled me to truly understand and engage with material so that challenging concepts and equations just “click” now, and I no longer feel pressured to flat out memorize what initially seemed like an endless sea of random concepts/equations. Thank you, Leah!!” — Lanee (former Comprehensive member)
