Without Feeling Burned Out or Overwhelmed In The Process?
You've done all the hard work, taken the classes, done the volunteering and research, only to have this ONE exam stand in the way of your medical school dreams?
Have you attempted to study, but find it hard to stay motivated?
Do you find yourself distracted by life and work and classes and family?
Does the MCAT keep getting pushed aside?
But you're no quitter, so you try harder!
You read and you practice, you time yourself on passages,
not only don't you get better,
with every missed question, you feel even more defeated,
your confidence keeps dropping,
are you left wondering, ‘am I even cut out to be a doctor?'
I get it because I’ve been there.
For me, it all came crashing down when I nearly failed organic chemistry. Despite doing everything ‘right'!
I showed up to lecture, took amazing notes and attempted all the homework. I say ‘attempted' because, when I got stuck, I simply looked up the solutions and memorized them.
It didn’t work for organic chemistry, and it certainly doesn’t work for the MCAT. (Now before you scream and run for the hills, rest assured. When I retook the course, I not only aced it, but I came out at the top of my classes in both Orgo 1 and Orgo 2.)
But it's not just about studying, is it?
Sometimes knowing what to do is not enough.
You may have the perfect outline and study plans, but if you keep losing motivation and burning out, if you keep running into dead ends and losing confidence,
if you keep doubting yourself,
how do you get UNstuck?
The Problem With ‘Big Name' MCAT Prep Courses
The well known ‘big name' companies have so many students, that they can easily brag about their successes without caring about the rest. Most of these programs are generic, templated, cater-to-the-masses programs with a standard curriculum, attempting to force you into a specific mold…
Class starts on ‘this day’ and ends on ‘this day’. And you better be ready during ‘this time.’ If you have a family emergency, or get sick, or have to deal with a school project, “sorry!” The course doesn’t wait. You fall behind. And get even more overwhelmed.
With every missed deadline you try harder, only to fall even further behind
YOU are the failure, for… being human?? Money down the drain.
That voice in the back of your mind starts considering it as you doubt yourself even more. Until you ask yourself, “But, is that what’s best for me in the long run?” You’re not ready to give up on your dreams!
Sound familiar? These are just some of the stories I’ve heard from past students. New doctors, students currently IN medical school or accepted and waiting to start!
Their advisors quickly changed their tune, of course: “I knew you would get in…”
Family and friends too: “We knew you had it in you! You’ll make a great doctor!”
If what you've done up to this point just isn't working…
Let's change that today.
Let me guide you in every of your MCAT prep journey.
THIS is exactly why I created The MCAT Study Hall.
The MCAT Study Hall is not a generic pre-set program for the masses. Instead, it’s a guided, molded to fit your situation, MCAT program.
I, Leah, get to know YOU!
(No other program out there cares enough to get to know their students.) I get to know your needs and situation. And then I personally will help you lay out your plan of attack on this exam. I take you by the hand and walk you step-by-step through every part of your MCAT prep. It’s guided, yet self-paced. I'll show you what to do. I'll show you how to do it. And I'll provide learning resources. I’m here to guide you, hold you accountable, and help you pivot as life happens.
I’m not a student, premed, or professor.
The MCAT Study Hall is not a ‘prep course taught by a part-time student or professor' who is doing this on the side. MCAT prep is what I do full time. And when I’m not teaching MCAT prep, I’m speaking with students who’ve recently tested! I’m figuring out what went right, what went wrong and helping them figure out how to improve.
I make it my mission to know and learn everything about this exam.
This way, I can keep you up to date every step of the way.
“Prior to registering for the MCAT study hall I was skeptical due to a prior failed attempt on studying for the exam for several months with another tutor that had a generic study schedule that was not working out for me. To say I was discouraged is an understatement then I came across Leah and exchanged various emails with her regarding all of my concerns I knew I needed accountability and as she mentioned to ‘hold my hand’ through this marathon and that I didn’t have to do it alone. As soon as i signed up there was a sense of relief, she is so organized and gives step by step instructions. After having a strategy session I felt prepared with a schedule that fits ME personally. Without a doubt Leah is full of heart with her students and truly cares about helping them tackle each obstacle. To me she is an invaluable resource. I am so grateful to have her every step of the way, AND she actually cares to work with me and deal with all my nonsense to make me better! :)” — Yezenia
What If?
What if you no longer have to go at this alone?
Let's figure out (together) why what you've done in the past hasn't been working,
Why you're feeling overwhelmed and hopeless,
How to regain that motivation and get you back on track.
Let's figure out exactly WHAT you have to do, WHEN you have to do it,
and HOW you're going to get it done on schedule.
In working with thousands of students, I've discovered that the secret to successful MCAT prep boils down to three things:
- Foundation – because even though it’s not a content exam, you still need a rock-solid content foundation to tackle passages and questions; being aware of your weaknesses, strengthening them, leaving no gaps, and then maximizing your strengths for your best scores.
- Strategy – so you know exactly what to do every step of the way; create a road map of your goals with measurable checkpoints and accountability.
- Support – because it’s so easy to lose your way, to feel overwhelmed and alone, and you can’t afford to give up now. You don't have to do this alone.
“Most test prep companies throw material at you in such big fancy words that it’s difficult to understand. Leah is very accessible, as she will respond back to you in a very quick and timely manner, whereas some other big name companies will not communicate with you personally. When I emailed my [other company] instructor he replied saying “I'm not paid to answer questions outside of class” – Ruhani
MCAT Study Hall (Limited # Spots)
Given the time and energy required to ensure every student gets my full attention, the MCAT Study Hall is limited in how many students are accepted into this level at any given time.
This is to ensure you get 100% of my attention without taking time away from my toddler.
There are currently a handful of spots open, but I expect it to fill up during this Fall promotion.
Here’s how the MCAT Study Hall will help YOU reach your goals:
There is a LOT of content on the MCAT and most books are boring, dry, and difficult to understand.
The MCAT Study Hall Bootcamp Library will help you learn content from the very beginning, with logical explanations and easy to follow examples every step of the way.
Included in your Study Hall membership:
- Complete MCAT Science Bootcamps + Full-Color PDF Notes
- Physics ($499 value, included with your membership)
- General chemistry ($499 value, included with your membership)
- Organic chemistry ($499 value, included with your membership)
- Biology ($499 value, included with your membership)
- Biochemistry ($499 value, included with your membership)
- Foundations in MCAT Math ($499 value, included with your membership)
- Amino Acids mini Bootcamp ($149 value, included with your membership)
- Math applications mini Bootcamp ($149 value, included with your membership)
- CARS, Journal, Reading and General Strategy sessions
- Access to any Bonus workshops!
- I regularly teach free (non-member) workshops, covering random topics from science to strategy. All new workshops will be recorded, edited, and posted to the MCAT Study Hall! You'll have access to these whenever you need them for as long as you're a member.
- (Currently, there are NO psych/soc bootcamps as I don't yet feel 100% qualified to teach it, but I will guide you through this topic – already have 4 (5?) students with 132 in P/S.)
A Solid MCAT Prep Strategy
With my ADHD I have the ability to hyper focus, until I get stuck, overwhelmed, or can't clearly see the next step. Then I freeze, get easily distracted, and find a million other more important things to do. Even if you don't have ADHD, you can probably relate.
But you CANNOT afford to get derailed with your MCAT studying, so let's make sure that doesn't happen.
I will be there with you every step of the way.
Your mentor, your guide, your accountability partner.
This includes:
- Strategy Bootcamp to create the initial framework for your custom plan ($249 value)
Step by step walkthrough on how to create your preliminary schedule and plan, one that we'll then review together and update as your circumstances change.
- 2 part MCAT Strategy Session – one-on-one sit-down sessions ($749 value)
This is where we review your preliminary homework and hash out a step by step plan in great detail.
- Ongoing Strategy! (value: priceless?)
Because life doesn't care that you have the perfect plan, something always comes up.
and when it does, I'll be right here to help you pivot and adjust accordingly.
This comes in the form of
- Near weekly strategy office hours
- Members only accountability and tutoring group for your daily questions
- Text me every day with updates, questions, and check-ins.
“Leah’s strategy sessions have helped me map out my time and identify points within my daily schedule that can be maximized for study or even light review. Most of us are rather busy on any given day and Leah can help you figure out the best use of those minutes normally applied toward mundane tasks while also crafting time tailored to your schedule to balance the studying with all that life entails.” – Michelle
Support
As a non-traditional premed, it's so easy to feel alone. Your friends don't understand why you, the SMART ONE, are working so hard. Your family can't fathom how it can possibly take weeks to raise your exam score by one measly point. Fellow classmates may be intimidating, ill-informed, or sabotaging in nature.

“I was really hesitant and worried that [your videos] would be just as useless as the other prep companies and only give surface explanation of topics but boy was I wrong. You go waaaayyy in depth and explain all the foundational concepts in chemistry and physics. Through your videos, I now realize that my foundation in chemistry was extremely weak and all this time I’ve been trying to build an MCAT-sized chemistry house on a weak foundation!! By watching your videos I am able to re-learn and experience several “ah-ha” moments that are crucial for me to expand and build my understanding of the MCAT chem/phys section.” – Bless
Saving Time and Money
A quality MCAT tutor will cost anywhere from $100-$500 per hour. I personally charge $249 per hour for weekday tutoring sessions. And if we worked on all of this together, from teaching you content to daily meetings for your tutoring questions, it would cost tens of thousands. And yes, there are students out there who pay this much because you can’t put a price on your dreams, right? But, that’s just not possible for so many.
Now, this program won’t cost you tens of thousands, not even close.
But think for a moment, if it did (and you had that financial option)…
Would it be worth it to you if it meant finally putting on that white coat as you prepare to enter the medical school of your choice?
Finally getting the MCAT chapter of your premed career aced and out of the way! Remember, here’s the thing: Every student is different. Therefore, every MCAT Study Hall plan is unique. And every MCAT Study Hall experience is unique. I won’t lock you into an ‘x -months-and-you-better-finish’ program. Because you already have enough pressure from the exam itself.
Instead, the program becomes YOURS. It’s structured to YOUR NEEDS and to your timeline:
“After trying the big name MCAT prep classes and struggling through overfilled, online, scripted lessons, I finally stumbled upon Leah. She takes the time to not just explain the concepts thoroughly, but puts them into perspective so it’s not just memorizing topics, but rather understanding the big picture concepts. Her explanations and personal attention are a much more “human” approach to learning the information for the MCAT.” – Stephanie

“I am so blessed to have found your website on YouTube. Having a study hall group is amazing because not only do other students help, Leah makes sure to respond to the study hall group on Facebook as well, which is extremely helpful. I do not use Facebook too often and I'm REALLY bad with technology so I would never really use the study hall, until Leah challenged me to. Once… that's all it took for me to realize how helpful it was with other students responding to my questions and getting feedback from Leah as well. When other students explain in a way you had never thought of, the information just clicks. I was definitely not expecting for it to be as helpful as it is. I am extremely glad and blessed that she challenged me to post.” – Aracely
FAQs
Question: How soon can we schedule a strategy session?
Ideally, ASAP! However, with the discount expiring Saturday, my schedule is more packed than usual.
You’ll start with your initial ‘new member’ assignments (no pressure, work on your timeline) after which I’ll try to get you on the schedule as quickly as possible.
Question: I’m not ready to start yet. Can I join the Study Hall at any time?
Yes and no.
The Fall special discount expires Saturday night. Given the time and energy required to ensure every student gets my full attention, the MCAT Study Hall is limited in how many students are accepted into this level at any given time.
This number is even more limited right now to ensure members get 100% of my attention without taking away from time with my family.
Question: What if I need more help after my strategy session?
Our work together isn’t limited to your strategy session. We begin from the moment you sign up, and keep up the one on one communication every step of the way. The strategy session is just ONE aspect of how we work together. I also work with you via a messaging app where you can text, send voice messages, or send a video message.
As a Study Hall member you are NO LONGER ALONE in this journey and I’ll be here for you as questions come up every step of the way.
Question: When/What are Office Hours?
Office Hours are held nearly every week. These are live group sessions to give you a chance to ask your questions and hear the answers to others' questions. Some Office Hours are designated for strategy while others may cover a specific topic.
You can submit your revised study schedule, backwards calendar and exam review tables. I will review them one by one in a live workshop style webinar. During your turn (hotseat), your mic will be open for us to chat and for you to ask questions, as I provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
If you can't attend live, no problem! Submit your question ahead of time and you will get your answer in the recording.
Question: What if I decide to postpone my Exam?
The Study Hall is a custom stay-as-long-as-you-need membership. If you choose the 3 month plan and then postpone your MCAT, your account will automatically renew a month-to-month basis till you test. You can cancel at any time via PayPal or by sending me an email at least 2 days before your payment.
Question: Will I be able to ask you questions directly if I get stuck on a topic?
Absolutely! That’s exactly the point of the Study Hall community.
While we discuss your strategy type questions together in your session, Office Hours and through direct daily communication,
You also have access to the Study Hall members-only group where you can post questions on Study Hall videos, books, practice questions, full length exams, AAMC or even general non-MCAT premed questions as they arise. The purpose of the group is to replace the need for you to hire a private tutor for your daily study questions.
You get help with ANYTHING you may ask. From ‘How do I solve this question?' to ‘What should I eat on exam breaks?' and more.
Not only do I login regularly to answer your questions, but you’ll also be interacting with other Study Hall members, both current and past (in the application process and some already in medical school).
Question: I’m about to start on MCAT prep. Do you think it’s too soon to join the Study Hall?
Yes and no.
No, if you’re not ready to commit 100%.
Yes, if you’re ready to start your hard core MCAT study with
-
- a minimum of 15 hours per week if testing in less than 6 months
- a minimum of 10 hrs per week if more than 6 months out.
Your initial strategy will focus on how to hit the ground running while ensuring you DON’T FORGET what you study as you progress through the plan.
Your initial strategy will focus on a solid Phase 1 plan, including content progress, practice and full lengths.
Question: What if I’m about to test (in January/April)?
If you’ve been studying for a while and are approaching your test date,
We’ll come up with a strategy to identify any lingering gaps and how to address them one by one.
We’ll figure out an ideal full lengths + review + practice schedule to maximize your remaining time.
We’ll also evaluate your goals and timeline to verify that you ARE on track.
Question: I don’t get paid for another few days. Can I sign up then?
The discount expires on Saturday and will NOT be offered again till next Fall. While you can join the Study Hall at any time (if there are openings), you have to sign up by Saturday night to take advantage of the Fall Study Hall discount.
Question: What is your refund policy? Do you offer a score guarantee?
Because you work directly with ME in the Study Hall and I invest my time as of day 1, I do not offer any refunds.
I also do not offer a score guarantee, and no one should realistically make this type of guarantee. Every student is different, every situation is unique, and no matter how much I provide, at the end of the day, it comes down to you. How hard are you willing to work in order to attain your target MCAT score? I’ll do my best by helping you craft a strategy, by pointing you to the correct Study Hall resources, and by being there for you to help guide and motivate and answer your questions in live Office Hours, the Facebook group, email, and text. But at the end of the day, it will be up to you to put in the work and utilize the resources available.
Please reach out to me prior to signing up if you have any questions about the Study Hall.
Question: I don’t use Facebook. Will I still benefit from this?
The members-only Facebook group is just one aspect of the Study Hall. This is where you are going to post all of your tutoring-type questions, so if you don't have a Facebook group you will miss out on that portion. If you are worried about distractions or privacy issues related to Facebook, my assistant can show you how to setup an anonymous account to use just for this group!
Question: I’m outside of the US. How will we communicate?
I work with a number of students outside of the US. The messaging app I use can be used globally, so you will be able to text without any extra fees. Additionally, I use GoTo software for Office Hours and our session, so you'll be able to access it anywhere you have internet. Please keep in mind that I am located in the eastern time zone, so if you are across the globe, be sure to reach out to me before you sign up to ensure we will be able to schedule your strategy session.
Question: I can only study X hours per week. Is that enough?
This is a question that we will answer together in your strategy session because every student is different. Some students may be able to fly through content in a few hours per week, while others will struggle to understand 1 or 2 topics in that same time.
Question: How come the Study Hall doesn’t include anything about Psychology and Sociology?
I firmly believe you should only learn from someone who’s a master at their craft — and I haven’t mastered these topics yet. Independently, I study and practice these topics so I can still help out and answer questions, but I’m not yet willing to call myself an expert. Once I feel that I can teach with 100% confidence, I will add these topics to the Study Hall.
Question: I haven’t taken XYZ subject. Will this program still help me? (The most common subjects not taken: Orgo 2 and Biochem.)
This depends on how close you are to your MCAT date. I’ve worked with quite a few students who take an MCAT subject class after their MCAT. That’s okay, but this means you’ll have to put in twice the effort to learn the material on your own.
The good news is that even students who have taken the class tend to forget some or all of the material. Each of the science bootcamps is taught from a beginner's perspective to ensure that if you ever missed something in your classes, or never took the classes, you still get the proper MCAT foundation in this subject.
Question: What if I’m planning to test after the dates mentioned here? (next spring, summer, etc.)
I recommend devoting 6-8 months of study to your MCAT, for a minimum of 500 hours. If you’re testing just after the listed programs expire, you will have the option to extend for $449/mo with the option to cancel anytime.
If you’re testing in MORE THAN 1 year from now, I don’t recommend starting your MCAT prep just yet. Instead, your focus should be on acing your science classes and working on your extracurriculars like research, volunteering, and other adventures. These will improve your well-rounded personality and experience, making you a better overall med school candidate.
Question: Have you taken the MCAT under the current scoring system?
I would if I could! Tutors and those affiliated with MCAT prep aren’t allowed to take the test — only people who actually intend to go to medical school are permitted. (I signed up for the new exam, got reported and banned). For that reason, I’m not able to take the test. To overcome that, I’ve done everything in my power to ensure a full understanding of today’s MCAT testing environment.
Question: If I sign up for the MCAT Study Hall, can you guarantee that I’ll reach my target score?
NO! No one should realistically make this type of guarantee. Every student is different, every situation is unique, and, no matter how much I provide, at the end of the day it comes down to you.
How hard are you willing to work in order to attain your target MCAT score? I’ll do my best by helping you craft a strategy, by pointing you to the correct Study Hall resources, and by being there for you to help guide and motivate and answer your questions in live office hours, your tracker, and Facebook group. But at the end of the day, it will be up to you to put in the work and utilize the resources available.
Question: I’m taking my MCAT very soon. Will I still benefit from this program?
This really depends on where you stand with your prep right now. If you have a solid strategy in place, are very comfortable with your basics, and are scoring as desired on your practice exams, then no. If, however, you want to maximize the final few weeks with strategic review and preparation, need brushing up with your basics, and want help raising your score, then yes. This is right for you.
Question: How do the Study Hall videos differ from the Leah4sci YouTube videos?
I get this question a lot, and no, the Study Hall videos are definitely NOT the same as the videos I share freely on YouTube.
YouTube videos are something I do when I have time, covering small tidbits of random topics. Think of my YouTube videos as appetizers. Meant to help introduce a topic, each video is short and to the point. One concept, perhaps a practice question or two to follow along. YouTube videos do not cover everything, can be scattered, and certainly lack the ‘start to finish', ‘everything you need for the MCAT' mindset, following the AAMC outline.
What Others Say About The MCAT Study Hall
“Leah’s MCAT Study Hall is a program that builds on core concepts needed for the MCAT from the ground up and really emphasizes the foundational concepts in a logical manner, which are important in understanding the more complex processes…. Leah’s MCAT program is tailored to work with everyone’s personal needs as she constantly supports you along this journey.” — Ruhani
“Hi Leah!! I just got out of my test and you’re one of the first people I wanted to tell and thank! I’m not sure how it went but what I do know is that your tutoring gave me the best shot I could have given!” — Katherina
“I have been working with Leah for over a year now for the MCAT. I've faced many roadblocks throughout the process, but Leah has always been there supporting me emotionally and mentally. Whenever I get really stressed out, she always has various ideas to ensure that I am not burning out and that I'm getting the resources I need to succeed. (Even throughout her pregnancy!!) Her MCAT Study Hall helped me have not only a better understanding of concepts but a better foundation in basic sciences in order to master difficult topics. She also made sure that I was contacting her regularly so that she is able to track my progress and combat any difficulties I was facing right away. I am happy to say that I recently got accepted to medical school, and Leah was definitely a big part of that. I definitely recommend Leah for anyone who needs tutoring.” — Rionna
“Leah’s MCAT Study Hall videos are unlike any other resource out there. I spent a year trying out every MCAT study resource I could find, but nothing or no one else clears concepts up as quickly and concisely as Leah does in her videos! I have always been the type of student to try to memorize as much as possible, but I’ve realized this is impossible for the amount of material the MCAT covers. Leah’s videos have enabled me to truly understand and engage with material so that challenging concepts and equations just “click” now, and I no longer feel pressured to flat out memorize what initially seemed like an endless sea of random concepts/equations. Thank you, Leah!!” — Lanee
“I honestly thought I could handle studying for my second MCAT on my own. That is, until I participated in one of the free sessions on MCAT studying strategy. I realized I didn’t really have a strategy to my studying, and felt like I finally had a plan. When I learned about the study hall, I was initially hesitant because I wasn’t sure I would be spending my money on yet another MCAT/pre-med resource that was somewhat helpful at best. What drove me to going through with joining was how personalized the experience was and having a collaborative resource through the Facebook page. My experience was amazing. The content, of course, was incredible and broke down daunting MCAT subjects into easy to understand videos. Not only that, I loved the fact that I essentially had such incredible support from Leah through every step of the process. When I would beat myself up on a low practice MCAT, she would show me my strengths and weaknesses, but also validated my experience as part of the process of learning how to take a standardized test. I actually felt confident going into my test, whereas the first time I took the exam I felt so nervous and unprepared. I was still nervous on my second exam date, but I felt like I had done everything that I could to prepare and didn’t have any regrets. While my cumulative score didn’t necessarily change, I scored better Chemistry/Physics and CARS, which previously were much lower than Bio and Psych. However, combining my best scores from each test, I scored better than my target. I have been personally recommending Leah’s study hall to friends of mine who are also pre-med but were unsatisfied with their first MCAT score. The study hall is comparable (if not cheaper) than the massive test prep companies out there, but what makes the study hall different is that you actually get a personalized strategy and have support throughout your entire studying journey. I 100% recommend the study hall to anyone planning to take or re-take the MCAT, I have no regrets whatsoever.
Thank you again Leah and everyone on her team. You helped me believe in myself and now I’m achieving my dreams. I’m beyond grateful for all the help and support you all provided me along this crazy journey.” — Nicole
