You've heard the rumors. Organic Chemistry is the toughest science class you'll take.
You were warned to expect failure and that you'll have to take the class more than once.
But does it have to be that way?
Are you willing to put in the time and effort over the summer to prepare for the upcoming semester?
Or, are you already knee-deep in summer Orgo and feeling lost and far behind?
Before you get overwhelmed and worried that you have to go it alone, memorizing page after page of reactions, reagents, mechanisms, and arrows, let me walk you through everything to help you survive your summer Orgo course or help you prepare for the upcoming Orgo semester.
Let's Get Started!
At least one rumor about the course is true: Organic Chemistry is different from all other difficult science courses.
The first time I took orgo, I treated it like all of my other science classes, and as a result, I had to withdraw to save my GPA. I knew there had to be a better way to go about it, and as a result, I aced it when I retook it.
If I was able to go from “near-failure” to “passionate teacher”, then YOU have no excuse not to succeed.
And THAT is exactly why I created the Organic Chemistry Study Hall.
It’s the program I wish I had the first time I took orgo.
Everything I would have needed to understand and thrive in the course:
- Videos that teach the “what and why” so you can actually understand and follow what the heck is going on in each Orgo 1 and Orgo 2 chapter.
- Full-Color PDF Notes for EACH video so you can focus on understanding rather than frantically taking notes.
- Practice questions with video solutions because in a complex topic, you need lots of practice and explanation. Plus I'll show you how to look out for tips, tricks, and shortcuts. (Orgo exams are notorious for being too long for a very short amount of time.)
- COMING SOON: Practice Worksheets + Step By Step Solving Sessions to get even more practice and ensure you are never stuck on a concept.
- Exclusive Tutoring & Support Group of like-minded fellow Orgo students so that you never feel alone or stuck—currently hosted on Facebook
Hundreds of students have already relied on the Orgo Study Hall to master their understanding of Organic Chemistry, while on their journey to:
- Medical School
- Dental School
- Pharmacy School
- Veterinary School
- Other Health and Science Programs
…And it can help you, too!
“When I first began organic chemistry, I was fearful that the class would derail my dreams of going to medical school. But thanks to the help and encouragement of Leah and her study hall program, that fear was never realized. I even got to the point of enjoying organic chemistry! I know my grade would have been much lower had I not joined the study hall. Leah was able to take complicated organic topics and explain them in a way that made sense. Many of her tips and tricks saved me much time on my exams, as well as simplifying challenging concepts. I highly recommend joining the study hall!” –Anna W.

How does this help over the Summer?
While the Study Hall was created to help students survive DURING the semester, I'm always recommending that students pre-study topics for the upcoming week.
What better way to prepare for the ENTIRE semester than by previewing and pre-learning everything required over the summer?
This starts with the ‘How To Prepare For the Upcoming Semester' workshop where you'll learn why to pre-study, how to pre-study, and what to focus on given your specific situation – first time taking Orgo 1 or 2, or retaking Orgo 1 or 2.
As a Summer Bonus!
Once you register, post in the Facebook group to let me know when your class begins, and I will help you come up with a pre-study plan to maximize your available study time this summer!
I charge my private tutoring clients $249/hour. And to cover everything listed above would take us dozens of hours and thousands of dollars.
Here’s what's in it for YOU! Your Membership Includes:
- Video Library of 100+ In-Depth Orgo 1 and Orgo 2 Topics and Subtopics (value: $100 each, Over $6000 in all!)
- Tutoring and Support Community (value: $500/month)
“The study hall had step by step thorough practice problems that allowed me to become confident by working through them. Along with the practice problems, there were videos explaining the WHY? instead of learning to simply memorize everything.” – Bonney J.
Over 100 videos – and this isn't fully updated with the most recent sessions.

“The Orgo Study Hall Pass helped me ace Orgo 1. Although I was not able to watch all of the videos due to the interest of time, I did watch videos for all of the topics I was confused in or needed review on. Leah's videos clarified many of my weak topics and helped bridge many gaps in my understanding of the material. The additional practice problems in the end of the videos especially helped me because they gave me a clearer idea of how to approach a problem and reason my way to the right answer. I had previously struggled with trying to memorize answers, but Leah taught me that this approach was ineffective. The lessons I learned with Leah were crucial to my success and I am so, so grateful.” – Chrisha N.
But Leah, is it really worth it?
I get that paying for help is not accessible to everyone. In undergrad, I was living on my own and working 3 part-time jobs to make ends meet.
But I also know how tight and precious your time is.
YOU COULD just try winging it through Orgo, while hoping things will go well, scouring the internet for free resources (including many on my website) to piece it all together, hoping it's enough.
But why take the chance when you know it's a tough course? For less than the cost of a textbook, you can get ahead, get well acquainted with the material, and master topics in the Study Hall.
Then, when the semester rolls around, your professor's lectures will be a REVIEW. Repetition and confidence are big factors in learning. What would acing assignments, quizzes, and exam after exam do for your GPA? What would a strong Orgo grade do for upcoming medical, dental, PA school and other graduate level program applications??
Why dread the upcoming semester? Why trudge through the course when you don't have to?
YOU COULD hire a private tutor to help you. But you may not be able to ‘test them out’ or verify their skill before you get charged, and the good ones range from $50-$250 an hour. (I charge $249/hr.) Plus, each and every time you have a question, you have to open your wallet.
YOU COULD.
Or…
YOU COULD join The Organic Chemistry Study Hall.
The cool thing about the Orgo Study Hall is that it will SAVE YOU time AND money! PLUS give you so much more.
Here’s how:
For just $149 for the entire summer, you get a guided program to see you through summer classes or help you prepare for the upcoming semester before you enter the chaos and pressure.

“All of Leah’s resources are fantastic! I would highly recommend both Study Hall and tutoring. The quantity of resources on the Study Hall members site alone is well worth the money…looking back, I would have been happy to pay far more for value I got out of them. Her method of teaching for understanding helped me apply the concepts to all sorts of question types that I had not seen before on my exam. I watched large numbers of the Study Hall videos and participated in most of the live sessions. Leah also squeezed me in for some last-minute tutoring, which was excellent for analyzing some of the harder question types more specific to my individual weaknesses. I’m pretty sure my last tutoring session on spectroscopy helped me get about 10% higher on the exam than I would have otherwise done, as there are lots of finicky details to be applied here and she helped me understand some of the finer points that I missed from my text book. The price of tutoring was also well worth it. I finished Organic Chem I with an A+.” – Katherine G.
FAQs….
Question: Does the Study Hall cover everything in both Orgo 1 and Orgo 2?
With over 100 hours of video, the Study Hall is designed to cover every topic in your Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 curriculum.
If there's a topic that hasn't been covered yet, email me and I'll consider scheduling a bonus member review session (which will be recorded and added to the Study Hall Video Library)
Question: Are the Study Hall videos the same as what you have on YouTube?
With over 200 videos on YouTube (and 11.5 million+ views!), it makes sense to ask that question.
The quick answer is: NO!
My YouTube videos are like appetizers, short and to the point. They each tackle one single topic to help you make sense of it and get back to your studies.
In contrast, Study Hall videos are recordings of hour-long workshops. They go deep into specific topics with lots of practice problems, explanations, trick questions, and so much more to ensure that you really and truly grasp the material.
Question: This sounds great, but funds are super tight right now…
I get it. As a college student, I was living on my own, working as an EMT and science tutor, living paycheck to paycheck. I’ve been where you are, where every dollar needs to be accounted for.
But… failing or withdrawing and having to pay for the same course twice is much more expensive and certainly more painful!
Think about it: You’ve paid hundreds or even thousands of dollars for your Organic Chemistry course, hundreds for your book and ‘required’ supplemental resources, not to mention the hours spent traveling, in class, and studying.
If for just $99 $79/month, you can ensure a higher grade and avoiding failing, re-taking, and paying for the same course twice…would you do it? Can you afford not to and risk these things? At ~$2/day! It’s a no-brainer.
This is an investment into your future where the benefits far outweigh the costs.
Question: Am I billed on the 1st day of the month or something else?
Non-Semester Pass monthly students are billed every 30 days, on the date you signed up. For instance, if you register on July 8, you’ll be billed the 8th of every month until you cancel.
The Summer Pass is a one-time payment through Aug 31st with NO recurring payment. You can choose to extend your membership after Aug 31st.
Question: Can I skip my textbook and just watch Study Hall videos?
I’ve been told by Study Hall members that the Study Hall resources give much more in-depth information than class lectures or the textbook to the point where they are nearly obsolete. However, I still recommend skimming your textbook to ensure you didn’t miss anything.
You’ll also want to use your book for in-chapter and end of chapter practice questions.
Question: Does the Study Hall offer practice problems?
Yes and no. The Study Hall is primarily a learning resource. You’ll still need your book for questions. However, the Study Hall library does include:
- Video solutions to every Leah4sci orgo quiz
- Sessions of practice problems on different chapters for practice
- Student-submitted practice quiz and exam review sessions for even more practice
- + Coming Soon: Additional Practice Worksheets with Step By Step Video Solutions

What Others are Saying
“Leah saved me when I was drowning…”
“Leah Fisch saved me when I was drowning in pre-med courses. And full-time work. And motherhood. And trying to learn all of it by correspondence (no classmates or physical prof to go see) with a non-science background.
Leah was understanding of my trepidation, compassionate when I needed support, and ever-so helpful at making confusing concepts take on a form which I could understand and apply to my assignments and exams. Knowing that the Facebook Group was always there to help me with answers, and having a video library and weekly live sessions to log into really helped me relax and make sense of what is a very difficult course. I couldn't have done it without Leah4sci!”
I highly recommend this to ALL orgo students.” – Shannon A.
“What is happening and more importantly, WHY it is happening…”
“I am a 36 year old mother of three teenagers. Heading back to school to pursue a long awaited career in medicine has been a monumental task… I needed a resource that was available when it was convenient for my schedule. Leah’s video library was that resource for me. I was easily able to find the subject I needed to learn more about and watch and rewatch the video when I was studying.
Then there is the magic way that Leah explains organic chemistry. Organic Chemistry was like a foreign language to me. Leah breaks this foreign language down into a language that made sense, the language of electron flow. She has a very precise way of tracking electron flow so you don’t get lost as to what is happening and more importantly, WHY it is happening. Her videos about the basics helped me grasp the concepts such as acid base chemistry and electronegativity. Understanding these really helps when you get further. I attended a few live seminars and loved them. All of the resources Leah has for you in this program are invaluable! I thought I was in for another boring chemistry class, so thank you Leah for bringing this subject to life for me!” –Natalie M.
“I was holding the key to orgo success with a subscription to your site…”
“I was so close to withdrawing, nothing was helping me! Khan Academy, expensive sessions of private tutoring from grad students and hours of studying did nothing for me and I lost hope. Magically I found your videos and I feel so incredibly grateful b/c it helped ease my anxiety, prepared me for the next day’s class material, and boosted my confidence on exam days. I could actually sit in the library and absorb the material!!
I'm sure Khan Academy dude works really really hard but there's just no comparison- I didn’t want a speedy review, I needed to be taught step by step and that's what you did! I was holding the key to orgo success with a subscription to your site.” – Grace C.
“…I saved a lot of time [and] grasped an understanding on each chapter
thoroughly and more effectively…”
“Leah is an excellent tutor! Her teaching style is very effective and she goes at a pace that is easy to follow and understand. Her sessions include in-depth explanation of each topics, followed by many examples and handwritten notes to download.
Like most students, I was also hesitant to spend so much money on lectures that are easily accessible for free on YouTube by other tutors. Ever since I have invested in Leah’s study packages, not only have I saved a lot of time but also grasped an understanding on each chapter thoroughly and more effectively. I am extremely satisfied by her videos and I am looking forward to more sessions.” – Abhi
“…I'm confident I can pull another A on the final with your help!”
“Hi Leah! Just an update. I got my third exam back. I got a 98! My previous exams were a 70 and 77. The only difference in my studying was using your Orgo 2 bootcamp and Study Hall videos. Thank you so much for everything you do and I'm confident I can pull another A on the final with your help! It's on Thursday and I'm halfway through the second run through of your Orgo 2 Bootcamp videos.” – Amber R.
“I needed someone like you to put life and passion into the subject…”
“I want to thank you for the sessions over the last few weeks. I have learned a lot, being a newcomer to chemistry I have been finding it a bit daunting on my pharmacy degree but your teaching has helped me to understand the concepts. I find it a fascinating subject but so hard!! I needed someone like you to put life and passion into the subject to make it more bearable, and to my surprise quite enjoyable!” – Lesley C.
“She helped me make an A in both semesters…”
“Initially, Organic Chemistry was a beast to tackle. My class's average on the first exam was a 30 and I was pretty close to that (no curve given). It was hands down the lowest score I've ever gotten on an exam.
For the next exam, I tried to dilute what the teachers said to a set of easy laws such that even a five year old would get the pattern. This worked decently well and got me the As but was really time consuming.
When I found Leah's site, I was overjoyed. Here was someone who knew how to teach and simplified the topics so anyone could understand. She helped me make an A in both semesters and score 98th percentile in the ACS for orgo 1 and 95th percentile nationwide for orgo 2. Thanks again Leah!” – Aditya M.
“I learned so much from her in the videos than I did in a hour of class…”
“Organic Chemistry is one of the hardest classes to pass, with good reason. I thought by simply memorizing the material and going to class everyday I would do well. However, as great as my professor was at knowing the subject he wasn't making sure that we fully were understanding the material. When I got my first exam back and failed it I panicked.
I took to youtube to find videos on the subjects we were covering so I wouldn't fail the next one. That was when I came across Leah4sci's videos. I learned so much from her in the videos than I did in a hour of class. Even though, I was nervous about joining the study hall I am so glad I did! She breaks down the material in ways that was so easy to understand that I saw tremendous improvement in my next exams. Gave me confidence going forward. Through her tips and tricks with very easy to understand explanations on difficult topics, I aced my final and passed organic chemistry with results that exceeded my expectations! Thank you with all my heart Leah! Now I am one step closer to getting into the PA program I'm working towards. <3″ – Chaunice F.
“You made Organic fun and less scary! I was worried because I had a 13 year gap…”
“Thank you! I started my Nursing program this fall. Taking both Organics have helped me a lot in my Nursing courses. Especially when we talk about the break down of Nitrogen from protein and how that affects the kidneys or growth, or going into ketosis, or even going over amino acids. Even trans fats and saturated fats! Or medication interactions in Pharmacology! It just gives me a different understanding and perspective I wouldn't have had! Lol, my Organic Professor was great also, he teased me that I was the most Organic chemistry taking future nurse he had met. He usually gets veterinarian, P.A. students, or Pre-med. I was the first Nursing student because it's not required for my program. I took Organic I and II because I ultimately want to become a CRNA, certified registered nurse anesthetists. I'm in Microbiology too right now, and having that organic chemistry background helps in there as well, especially my last test 🙂
Your tutoring was so helpful to me and really appreciated! Keep up the good work! You made Organic fun and less scary! I was worried because I had a 13 year gap from the last time I took Regular chemistry and when I did Orgo, so I was worried that would hurt me, but it didn't because they are so different!” –Ajia G.
